The winery’s name is inspired by Satt, an ancient word that translates to the true essence of nature. It is our personal spin on the mantra In Vino Veritas, a reflection of the winery’s commitment to crafting unfiltered wines that remain authentic and truly connected to the land.
Our Wines
SATTICUS CELLARS boasts its own vineyard, which is home to Primitivo and Petite Sirah varietals. In addition, the winery sources Bordeaux, Rhone, Italian, and Spanish varietals from vineyards that embrace rootstocks and clones that are best suited for the Sierra Foothills appellation.
Our History
In just a few short years since its inception in 2017, the winery has garnered numerous accolades for its wines, including several double golds, golds, and silver awards from regional competitions, including North America’s largest, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Satt’s love for farming was instilled in him from a very young age, growing up on a small farm that was home to peaches, prunes, and walnuts. As he grew older, he developed a deep appreciation for wine and its intricate flavors. He knew that he wanted to combine his love for farming with his passion for wine, and that’s how SATTICUS CELLARS was born.
